CHAPTER QUARTETS

For many members of the Golden Chordsmen Chorus, quarteting is what it's all about. As a member of a barbershop quartet, you have the opportunity to sing for a wide variety of audiences, experience venues large and small, and undertake an incredible musical voyage. Below is a list of our active quartets. Please feel free to contact them for more information regarding their repertoire, fees and availability for your event.

HQ[2] (46K)) QOTY 1 (77K)

HARLEQUIN

Winnipeg's premier quartet, HARLEQUIN, has been entertaining audiences with their warm, mellow chords since 1998. For an unprecedented 8th year in a row, they were presented with the Golden Chordsmen's Quartet of the Year Award. HARLEQUIN actively performs at banquets, dinners, fundraisers, sports events and celebrations of all kinds. They enjoy singing a variety of musical styles, including contemporary, patriotic, inspirational, doo-wop, and traditional Barbershop tunes. Call Larry at 488-2242 or email Larry for information.
Rob Smith (Tenor), Larry Hunter (Lead), Herold Driedger (Bass), Paul Bullock (Baritone)

FOTS[2] (58K)

FOUR OLDE TIMES SAKE

Land of Lakes District - Seniors Quartet Champion.
This quartet was put together to form a "seniors" quartet for the 2007 Land of Lakes Spring Competition from two of Harlequin's "seniors" (Rob Smith and Herold Driedger), a multi talented composer/baritone (Ted Greenhalgh) and an aspiring lead (Geoff Taylor) with a mellow voice. The combination yields a warm, casual sound. Geoff typically sits on a bar stool, Perry Como style, and this adds to their relaxed sound. Call Geoff at 488-0912 or email Geoff for information.
Rob Smith (Tenor), Geoff Taylor (Lead), Herold Driedger (Bass), Ted Greenhalgh (Baritone)

Tempo[2] (33K)

TEMPO

This foursome formed their quartet in the fall of 2005 to participate in the Winnipeg Golden Chordsmen Chorus's Christmas Serenade. They enjoyed the sounds of their close harmony, so in January of 2006 they registered as TEMPO. They specialize in performing familiar Barbershop tunes at private venues like anniversaries, weddings and birthday parties. They would welcome the opportunity to sing at your special occasion. Call Gordon at 257-7727 or email Gordon for information.
